Afghan Club draw against Bankers

LAHORE, Jan 24: Chaman's Afghan Club put up a brilliant display to hold 1982- national champions Habib Bank Limited to a 1-1 draw in the Pakistan Premier Soccer league at Govt. High School Ground, Chaman.

Afghan Club, which has completed their 13- away games at Karachi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi and Islamabad, will now take on PIA, NBP and KPT in their remaining three home matches at the same venue.

It was the 23rd game for AC, which has managed to secure 25 points while HBL has gained the same number of points from 25 games.

The bankers led the first half 1-0 after winger Wali Khan scored with a solo effort to record his fifth goal of the event in the 42nd minute. Afghan bounced back in the second session and midfielder Jumma Khan slammed in the equaliser in the 69th minute.
