KARACHI: KU declares MA results


KARACHI, Jan 24: The University of Karachi on Thursday announced the results of MA (Previous) regular and MA (Final) external annual examinations 2006.

MA (Previous) regular

A total of 23 candidates appeared in Economics examination and 11 of them were declared pass. In Education, only one student appeared and declared pass; in Islamic History, two of the three students appeared in the examination were declared pass; In Islamic Studies, 10 candidates appeared and five of them were declared pass; in Mass Communication, only one candidate appeared and could not pass; in Political Science, 18 students appeared and 11 of them passed; and in Urdu, four candidates appeared in the examination and only one was declared pass.

MA (Final) external

A total of 1,467 candidates appeared in the Economics examination and 387 of them were declared pass; in International Relations, 1,378 candidates appeared and 956 of them were declared passed, in Arabic, only one of the seven students appeared in the examination was declared passed; in English, 76 appeared and only seven passed; in General History, 22 appeared and 15 passed; in Islamic History, 203 appeared and 44 passed; In Islamic Studies, 617 appeared and 386 passed; in Mathematics, 14 appeared and none of them passed; In Persian, two candidates appeared and both passed; In Philosophy, seven appeared and two passed; in Political Science, 493 appeared and 228 passed; in Sindhi, 44 appeared and 18 passed; and in Urdu, 267 candidates took the examination and 155 of them were declared pass.—PPI
