KARACHI, Jan 24: Three ships carrying containers and to load molasses are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was brisk where seven ships including Kapitan Byankin, Flippa, Y.M. Sun, Hyundai Highway to unload and load containers, Arins, to load rice and Swat to offload crude oil were berthed after the departure of four.

The ships which departed on Thursday included Soon Fu, Harmony, Hansa Century and APL Amman, while Arnis, Flippa, African Pal, Free Destiny, Y.M. Sun, Baltic Mariner, Swat and Golina are due to sail out on Friday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was fairly active where a total volume of 0.130m tons comprising 43,946 tons of export cargo, including 7,205 tons of cement and 1,166 tons of rice and 85,786 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Friday: Galaxy, to load molasses, Emirates Meru and Oel Trust, container vessels.
