HYDERABAD, Jan 23: Sale of tickets for the match came to an end even before afternoon on Wednesday and hundreds of cricket enthusiasts remained ticket-less.
People of Hyderabad are jubilant as the city is going to host a One-day International (ODI) match after over a decade.
The bank which was selling the tickets had to call police to disperse the crowd forcibly as they were blocking the main Saddar road, demanding availability of tickets.
“We did sell 5,326 tickets by 11.30am but youths were quite aggressive as they kept chanting slogans against us,” said an official of the bank.
He said they had to close the branch’s gates to avoid any unpleasant incident.—Our Correspondent
