Two arrested, stolen car recovered

NAWABSHAH, Jan 23: Daur police recovered stolen car and arrested two carjackers while three others escaped in an encounter, on Tuesday.

Police cordoned off an area signaled a car to stop at the Chhatta bus stop upon which occupants opened fire while police retaliated resulting in the arrest of two accused Amir Bux Ansari and Haji Kousar Lashari. A kalashnikov, pistol, eight rounds and a car (J-6708) were recovered from their possession.

Their three accomplices Ghulam Shabbir Mangrio, Mino Khaskheli and Nazeer Khoso escaped.

The car recovered was snatched from one Salar Chandio at Daur-Bandhi Road on Jan 8.

WOMEN POLICE STATION: First Women Police Station has been set-up in Nawabshah with Sub-Inspector Ms Musarrat Khokhar appointed as the SHO.

The DPO Syed Ghayasuddin Rashidi said an ASI, three head constables and 11 lady constables had been deputed and a mobile van provided. The police station had been set-up in the premises of Town Police Station.

RAIDS: DDO Revenue along with Rangers raided shops and fined them for selling wheat flour at higher price.

According to reports DDO Revenue Abdul Shakoor Qureshi and Rangers visited shops in different areas and imposed fine of Rs30,000 on shopkeepers for violating officially-fixed flour prices.
