KARACHI, Jan 23: Three ships carrying containers, edible oil and gas oil were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday.

In the meantime, three more ships with containers, gas oil and chemicals also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Seven ships, Socotra, Nedlloyd Asia, Shadwan Island, Bunga Melati-7, BBC Maine, City Of Dubrovnil and Eternal Pride, were occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, edible oil, project cargo, wheat and gas oil.

A cargo volume of 88,219 tons comprising 83,639 tons of import cargo and 4,580 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailings were active as Eternal Prede, Socotra, City of Dubrovnik and Maersk Missouri left the port while BBC Maine was due to depart.
