Rafiq Sherazi CC reach semis


KARACHI, Jan 22: Nasir Khan and Israr-ul-Haq shared six wickets between them while Umar Imtiaz made a valuable contribution with the willow to help Rafiq Sherazi Memorial Cricket Club reach the KCCA Inter-club League Cricket Championship semi-finals, as they thrashed Korangi Friends Cricket Club by 90 runs at the Landhi Gymkhana Ground on Monday.

Batting first, Rafiq Sherazi Memorial CC posted 226 all out in 49.4 overs with Umar Imtiaz top-scoring with 47.

Nasir Khan then claimed three wickets for 20 while Israr three for 29 to knock out Korangi Friends CC for 136 in 40 overs. Haris Ayaz made 44.

Meanwhile, Pakistan CC topped group ‘A’ with their seventh successive win of the championship as they beat Punjab CC by six wickets in a match played at the KCCA Stadium.
