PESHAWAR, Jan 22: The National Accountability Bureau, Frontier chapter has filed a reference against Shabbir Ahmed Khan, assistant director of Immigration and Passport Department in Swat, for accumulating assets beyond his known sources of income.An official statement issued by NAB on Tuesday, stated that an inquiry was initiated against the official on receipt of complaints which proved that he had properties in Murree and Peshawar.

It was stated that the properties were purchased by him during the year 1994-6 for Rs5 million while the present market value of the properties was estimated more than Rs20 million. He had also purchased more than 150 kanal agricultural land in his native village, the statement added.
