Port Qasim

KARACHI, Jan 21: Two ships carrying containers and diesel oil were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Monday.

Meanwhile, three ships with various commodities also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Berth occupancy was maintained at 50 per cent at the wharves where five ships, Turkey, Palemo, Shadwan Island, City of Dubronvi and Al Salam-II, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, wheat and diesel oil.

A cargo volume of 70,827 tons comprising 52,909 tons of import and 17,918 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was also active as Turkey and Palemo left the port while Al Salam was due to depart.
