MIRAMSHAH, Jan 19: Several artillery shells fired from across the Afghan side landed near Ghulam Khan check post in North Waziristan on Friday night.

Officials said that some people fired rockets on a security post in the adjacent Khost province of Afghanistan late night.

The Afghan forces retaliated and at least 10 artillery shells landed near the Ghulam Khan check post.

On Friday night, militants attacked security forces in the Razmak sub-division of North Waziristan.

More than 15 rockets were fired at the base.
