GUJRANWALA, Jan 17: A local anti-terrorism court on Thursday remanded an alleged Taliban into Gujrat police’s custody for four days.
The police arrested suspected Taliban Hafiz Tausif Ahmad during a crackdown on criminals and registered a case against him under the anti-terrorism act.
Police produced Ahmad in the court and sought his seven-day physical remand to recover from him CDs relating to training camps being run by Taliban leader Baitullah Mehsood. Police said Ahmad had been trained at one such camp. — Correspondent
