ABBOTTABAD, Jan 17: A two-member polls monitoring team of the European Union (EU) on Thursday visited the city and discussed matters related to the upcoming elections with people from different walks of life.

More than 200 observers from the EU states are visiting Pakistan to monitor the election process.

The EU team met District Nazim Abbottabad, Sardar Haider Zaman, district returning officer, office-bearers and candidates of different political parties.

The EU team will also meet officials and candidates in Haripur, Mansehra and other districts. Members of the team kept themselves away from the media, saying that they would submit their findings to the EU headquarters which would be made public.
