Port Qasim

KARACHI, Jan 17: Four ships, carrying containers, wheat and diesel oil, berthed at the QICT, MPT and Fotco oil terminals of Port Qasim, respectively, on Wednesday. Four ships arrived at outer anchorage during the last 24 hours.

Six ships, C V Inori, Qatri Ibn Fujaa, City of Dubrovnil, MT Venus-7, MV Aviona, MT Venus-7 and Mt Al-Soor-II, occupied berths during the last 24 hours to load and offload containers, wheat, edible oil and diesel.

A total of 57.238 million tons of import cargo and 13.858 million tons of export cargo, inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 1,643 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours.

Two ships, CV Inori and MT Venus-seven, sailed out on Wednesday and three vessels Aviona, Qatari Fujaa and Al Soor-II are expected to sail out today while five ships, Khalid Ibn Al Waleed, Dubai Express, Raissa Ayu, Shadwan Island and Sinar Agra, are expected to take berths.—APP
