KARACHI, Jan 17: Five ships, carrying rapeseed and to load clinkers and ethanol, are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly brisk where nine ships berthed. They are: APL Brisbane, Augusta, Harmony and Hyundai Sprinter, to unload and load coal, Lalazar, Semeru and Chemstar Princess, tankers, Glory Tellus to load cement and Aqua Star, to unload and load general cargo.

Sailing was also active as seven ships, Faith-1, APL Brisbane, Kapitan Byankin,China Star, Oel Trust, Raissa Ayu and Maria Th departed on Thursay, while Lucky Arrow, Aqua Star, Augusta, Semeru and Lalazar are due to depart on Friday.

A total tonnage of 0.113m tons, comprising 18,222 tons of export cargo and 94,219 tons, of import tonnage was handled on Thursday.

The following ships are due on Friday: Kuleli, to load ethanol, Eric G Gibson, St Irene, with containers, Noor-i-Madina to load 16,000 tons of clinkers and Drake, with 36,200 tons rapeseed.
