Published January 17, 2008

LAHORE, Jan 16: The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has decided preparing a list of lawyers who were appearing before superior court judges who had taken oath under the Provisional Constitution Order (PCO) of Nov 3.

A statement issued on Wednesday said that an SCBA meeting decided that the names of the enlisted lawyers would be sent to their respective bars for appropriate action against them for flouting the boycott of post-PCO judiciary.

The meeting also discussed various ways and means to make the lawyer’s protest and boycott more effective and successful.

The meeting also demanded an early release of the SCBA President Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan, Ali Ahmad Kurd, Munir A Malik and Justice Tariq Mehmood (retired).

SCBA Vice-President Ghulam Nabi Bhatti, Secretary Muhammad Amin Javed Chaudhry and executive members Zubair Khalid, Khawaja Tariq Suhail, Shahid Jamil, Mudassar Bodla, Rana Farman Ali and Malik Azeem attended the meeting.
