HYDERABAD, Jan 16: A four-member delegation of European Union Election Observation Mission called on DCO Hyderabad Aftab Ahmed Khatri at his office here on Tuesday.

Long term observers Christa Mueller, Joseph Ganne,

Gesa Schoeneberg and

Janno Simm exchanged views with the DCO regarding the elections and obtained basic information about administrative arrangements and constituencies in the district.

The DCO briefed the delegation about the measures and said that full cooperation was being extended to the Election Commission in conducting the elections in a transparent manner.

Executive District Officer of revenue department Syed Barkat Rizvi was also present on the occasion.

Later, European Union election observer Joseph Ganne visited Nawabshah and held meetings with Assistant Election Commissioner Asfar Siyal,

Returning Officer Masood Ahmed Korejo and others, reports PPI.

Mr Ganne collected the details of steps being taken by

the Election Commission to ensure free, fair and transparent polls.

Mr Siyal said that the European Union observer was briefed on the arrangements for election for two national assembly and five provincial assembly seats.

He was also told about total number of polling stations and the sensitive ones.
