KARACHI, Jan 16: Sindh (caretaker) Minister for Labour and Industries Arif Ali Khan Abbasi has constituted a committee to assess the losses caused to public and private properties during the rioting that swept through the province after the Dec 27 assassination of former prime minister Ms Benazir Bhutto.

Presiding over the 51st meeting of the Board of Directors of the Sindh Small Industries Corporation here on Wednesday, the minister directed the committee to submit its recommendations within a week.

The recommendations will be put forward to the commission set up for the disbursement of compensation to the affected people and organisations.
