HYDERABAD: Hesco officials ordered to curb line losses


HYDERABAD, Jan 14: Nawabshah power utility officials have been ordered to ensure 100 per cent recovery and reduction in line losses, failing which strict action will be taken against them.

This was stated by Hesco chief Guftar Ahmed Anjum while presiding over a meeting of at the Nawabshah operation circle office on Monday.

According to a Hesco spokesman, manager of the circle Nazeer Ahmed briefed the Hesco chief about its performance and claimed that during December, line losses had been reduced and revenue recovery had been increased. He said that special teams had been formed to launch a crackdown against people stealing electricity and defaulters.—Bureau
