KARACHI, Jan 14: Tariq Sayeed has been appointed president of the Saarc Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

After taking charge, Tariq Sayeed presided over the 42nd meeting of the executive committee of the chamber.

Iftikhar All Malik, a former president of FPCCI was elected vice president, in addition to six vice presidents elected from India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives and Nepal. The presidentship of the Saarc chamber was given in the 41st executive committee meeting, presided over by its outgoing president Dasho Ugen Tsechup Dorji. —APP
