Most manholes in Lakki open

Published January 14, 2008

LAKKI MARWAT, Jan 13: Almost all the manholes in the jurisdiction of the Lakki tehsil municipal administration are without cover, posing a threat to pedestrians and motorists.

A citizen, Ahmed Khan, said the municipal authorities had failed to cover the manholes and repair the drainage system in the city although the situation had been brought to their notice.

Another resident, Humayun, said the TMA should be held responsible if any accident took place because of an open manhole.
