‘Over 800 outlaws Arrested in 2007’

LAKKI MARWAT, Jan 13: Police have claimed arresting over 800 suspected outlaws, besides seizing a large number of illicit weapons and contrabands during the year 2007.

An official in the district police office said on Sunday that the Lakki police had arrested the highest number of absconders while Dadiwala police seized a large quantity of narcotics in 2007.

He said the district police had launched a crackdown on anti-social elements in 2007 and booked 866 proclaimed absconders.

Most of the arrested people were wanted to the police for their alleged involvement in the cases of murder, attempt to murder, kidnapping and some other heinous crimes, he added.
