PML-Q plans indoor meeting

Published January 10, 2008

SAHIWAL, Jan 9: The PML-Q public meeting scheduled for Jan 10 here has been cancelled, party sources say.

The meeting, to be held at the local hockey ground, was to be addressed by PML-Q’s Punjab president Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi.

The sources said according to the modified schedule former chief minister would only address the party workers at the residence of former federal minister Chaudhry Naurez Shakoor.

They said the decision had been taken following the failure of party’s leadership to attract big crowds at its previous meetings. —Correspondent
