Imran, Agha shine in league

KARACHI, Jan 8: Imran Javed displayed an all-round show to steer Pakistan Cricket Club to a massive 237-run victory over Nazimabad Gymkhana in the KCCA Senior Cricket League on Monday at the TMC Ground.

Batting first, Pakistan CC accumulated a huge 340 while losing all their wickets in 49.5 overs. Imran played a superb knock of 127 studded with nine fours and five sixes.

Later, Imran bowled lethally to record a four-wicket haul, restricting Nazimabad Gymkhana only to 103 all out in 25 overs.

In another match of the league, Agha Sabir smashed 159 to help Mohammad Hussain Cricket Club record a formidable 148-run win against Rafiq Sherazi Memorial Cricket Club at the KCCA Stadium.

Mohammad Hussain CC batted first to post 338-4 in the stipulated 50 overs. In response, Rafiq Sherazi could only reach 190 before being bundled out in 35.5 overs. Ali captured four wickets for the victors.—Agencies
