Entry of 29 ulema banned in Abbottabad

ABBOTTABAD, Jan 8: The NWFP government has banned the entry of 29 ulema in the Abbottabad district during Muharram.

Prominent among them are Maulana Ejaz Ahmed, Abdul Majeed, Masood Rana, Syed Qamar, Qari Aslam, Syed Chiraghdin, Syed Kifayat Shah, Syed Abbas, Maulana Sher Ali Haidri, Nazeer Hussain, Maulana Masoodur Rehman and Ghulma Mehdi.

The district police officer has called a meeting of the area notables to discuss strategy for maintaining peace during Muharram.
