ISLAMABAD, Dec 7: Caretaker Prime Minister Mohammedmian Soomro on Monday ruled out any military operation in Pakistan by foreign forces, saying that no other state would be allowed to carry out operations inside Pakistan.

Talking to Chief of the Air Staff Tanvir Mahmood Ahmed, who called on him at the PM Secretariat, the prime minister said Pakistan’s armed forces were fully capable of defending the country’s frontiers.Mr Soomro said that the country’s defence doctrine was based on minimum credible deterrence to safeguard country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity to help ensure peace and stability in the region.

The prime minister said the government was fully cognizant of the country’s defence needs and would make all necessary resources available to upgrade its defence forces in view of the ongoing fast-paced technological developments.
