Wanjiru, Hall added to marathon field
LONDON, Jan 7: World half-marathon record holder Sammy Wanjiru of Kenya and US hampion Ryan Hall have been added to the men’s field for the London marathon on April 13.
In a statement on Monday, marathon organisers said Wanjiru hoped to clock two hours five minutes in his bid to make the Kenyan team for the Beijing Olympics. Hall has already qualified for Beijing.
Kenyan Martin Lel will defend his title.—Reuters
