TIMERGARA, Jan 7: The Jamaat-i-Islami, Jandool zone, has expelled two members from the party in the Samar Bagh area on the charges of running election campaign of an Awami National Party’s candidate for the PF-95 (Dir II).

JI zonal amir Izazul Mulk told Dawn on Monday that prior notices had been issued to Moulvi Mohammad Jan and former union council naib nazim Kambat Sayed Muqam Bacha but they had failed to convince the party which had announced boycott of the elections. He said the party had cancelled their basic membership.

Haji Hidayatullah, the candidate for the PF-95, had resigned from the Jamaat-i-Islami and joined the ANP before the announcement of the election schedule, Dawn has learnt.
