THATTA, Jan 6: Gunmen opened fire on a vehicle carrying Ghulam Qadir Palijo, the father of PPP’s Sassui Palijo, in the Pinee Ladho Khaskheli village near Gujo on Sunday, Ms Palijo told journalists.

However, none of the people were injured, said the former MPA. She said a group of gunmen hiding behind bushes ambushed her father’s vehicle when he was going from his village with his friend Luqman Malkani and other PPP activists to Gharo.

According to Ms Palijo, the assailants later visited a tea shop where they openly talked about their ‘abortive mission.’ Some PPP activists present there recognised them as Meherullah, Salar Jokhio, Salim Khaskheli and Master Siddique Khaskheli, the henchmen of the Shirazis.
