BUNER, Jan 6: A powerful explosion destroyed a video shop and partially damaged nine others here in the Jure Salarzai area in the early hours of Sunday.

Witnesses said that a explosive device had been planted close to the Asif Video Centre in the Azizur Rehman Market, which exploded with a big bang.

Nine other shops, including four dealing in auto parts, were partially damaged.

The blast caused panic in the area.

The Sunday blast was the eleventh bomb attack in the district in two months.

Of the 11 blasts, five had hit video centres.

The local police seemed to be clueless about those responsible for the attacks.

The Pir Baba police station, however, has registered a case for the Sunday explosion.
