2 children killed in roof collapse

QUETTA, Jan 5: Two children died and four others, including two women, suffered injuries when the roof of their house collapsed in Khanozai as rains and snowfall lashed many parts of the province on Saturday.

It started raining in Quetta and other parts of northern and central Balochistan on Friday evening that continued on Saturday. Snowfall was reported in Ziarat, Kan Mehtarzai, Khanozai, Khojak Top, Toba Kakari, Toba Achakzai and other areas of northern Balochistan.

Mountains around the Quetta valley also started receiving snowfall last night.

According to the Met Office, rains and snowfall would continue in the northern and central areas of the province in the next 48 hours.
