LAHORE, Jan 5: Two robbers gunned down a 25-year-old man on resistance at his medical store in Lower Mall police area early on Saturday.
Police said Rizwan of Chaudhry Park was sitting along with his brother Muhammad Zeeshan at their medical store situated at Ameer Road when two armed men riding a bike, turned up there.
The intruders held both the brothers hostage at gunpoint and asked them to hand over cash and cell phones. When Rizwan put up resistance and attempted to overpower one of the assailants, they opened fire on him and escaped empty-handed.
Rizwan was rushed to the Mayo Hospital by his brother where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police have registered a case under sections 302 and 393 of the Pakistan Penal Code on the complaint of Zeeshan and sent the body for autopsy.
Four employees of a company, including Sadiq and a security guard, were on their way on a van after withdrawing Rs1.2 million from a bank when four robbers, riding a car, stopped them at gunpoint near Sherpao Bridge in Ghalib Market police area.
They snatched the bag containing cash, and gun of the security guard and managed their escape.

ACCIDENT: An unidentified man was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Nolakha area on Saturday.
According to the Edhi officials, the man appearing in his 30s’, was hit by a speeding bus near Aik Morya Bridge.
He was taken to the Mayo Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
