LAYYAH, Jan 4: Unidentified men ransacked the main election office of the PPP candidate for NA-181 in Karor Lal Esan on Friday night.

Candidate Chaudhry Altaf Hussain submitted his application to the DPO alleging that men of the Karor tehsil nazim and the PML-Q candidate for PP-262 destroyed all the furniture of his election office.

Talking to Dawn, Mr Hussain said that he had asked the DPO to register a case against tehsil nazim Sajjad Hussain Khan Sehar, PML-Q candidate Attar Maqbool Chaudhry, his secretary Liaquat and 10 unidentified people. He further alleged that cars of the tehsil nazim and the PML-Q candidate were used in the incident.

DBA: District Bar Association president Sheikh Saifullah Saeed said that all groups of lawyers had agreed to allow the continuation of the sitting bar body for the next term.

He said that election committee chairman Noor Elahi would issue a notification in this regard within two days.
