KARACHI, Jan 3: Seven ships carrying steel, phosphate, coal and to load molasses are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was active where eight ships were berthed. They are: Nafto Cement, to load cement, S. Kala-1, Cape Negro, Y. M. Moon, and Augusta, to unload and load containers, Noble Coral to unload and load general cargo, Sammi Superstar, to unload phosphate and Oriental Protea, an oil tanker.
Sailing was also active as seven ships, Sinar Bintan, Limari, Lucky Arrow, Noble Coral, Bulduri, Yasa Pembe, and Sea Breeze Bulker departed, while Y. M. Moon, Augusta, Bolan, Lalazar and Nafto Cement are due to sail out on Friday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.113 million tons, comprising 14, 890 tons of export cargo, including 5, 142 tons of cement and 98, 370 tons of import tonnage, was handled on Thursday.
The following ships are due on Friday: Global Union, to load 5,000 tons of molasses, Eric G. Gibson, St. Irene, with containers, Shadwan Island, to offload phosphate, Ikan Sembak, and Ikan Altamira, with coal and Pacific Express, with steel cargo.
