PCB names probables for U-19 camp

LAHORE, Jan 2: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the names of some 21 probables for the national under-19 training camp for the forthcoming triangular tournament in Sri Lanka and the World Cup in Malaysia.

The junior selection committee recommended the names to the PCB on Tuesday, which after verifying their ages, asked them to report to coach Mansoor Rana at the NCA on Wednesday.

The triangular tournament which includes England bedsides Pakistan and hosts Sri Lanka will commence from Jan 18. The World Cup, which is to be held in Malaysia, is scheduled for Feb-March.

The probables include eight batsmen, two all-rounders and two wicketkeepers along with six fast bowlers and three spinners.

The camp starts on Friday at the NCA.

Probables:

Batsmen: Shan Masood, Umar Amin, Ahmad Shahzad, Usman Salahuddin, Umar Akmal, Hamza Zaheer, Mohammad Yasin and Fawad Hussain.

All-rounders: Immad Wasim and Jibran Khan.

Wicket-keepers: Ali Asad and Umair Mir.

Fast bowlers: Mohammad Rameez, Adil Raza, Junaid Khan, Junaid Nadir, Abdul Ameer and Azhar Attari.

Spinners: Shahzeb Ahmed, Kamran Hussain and Ahsan Mirza.
