KARACHI, Jan 2: The weekly Gymkhana race meeting which was postponed due to the volatile situation in the city in the aftermath of Benazir Bhutto’s assassination, will be resumed on Sunday, an official of the Karachi Race Club (KRC) said on Wednesday.

The handicap for the weekend races which also include the New Year Cup will be taken out on Thursday, he added.

The KRC was compelled to put-off the races which were scheduled to take place on Dec 30 following a three-day mourning announced by them and disturbances in the metropolis.
