8 killed in UP
LUCKNOW, Jan 1: Suspected Muslim militants armed with assault rifles and grenades broke into a police camp in Uttar Pradesh early on Tuesday killing eight people, officials said. They termed the incident in Rampur a “serious security lapse,” with the Central Reserve Police Force camp there home to UP’s biggest stash of weapons.—AFP
