By A Reporter

KARACHI, Dec 31: The Labour Party of Pakistan (LPP) in a condolence meeting held here on Monday condemned the assassination of PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto and termed it “a tragedy for the people of Pakistan and democracy”.

LPP secretary-general Nasir Shah held the government responsible for her tragic death, and accused it of trying to suppress the movements for the restoration of democracy, independence of the judiciary and supremacy of the constitution.
