Blast damages shrine

KOHAT, Dec 29: An explosion damaged a shrine in Sheikhan village near here late on Friday night.

The explosives, planted inside the shrine of Hazrat Sheikh Ibraheem Qandoosi, were detonated at around 10.30pm.The police were unable to locate the site of the blast until people told them about the damaged shrine.

The blast damaged the shrine’s windows, tiles and glass work. The Janglekhel police have registered a case.

BODY FOUND: The police found the body of a 17-year-old girl dumped in a pool in Dhodha village on Friday night.

The body was brought to the Women and Children’s Hospital for identification.

It was later buried by the Tehsil Municipal Administration in the graveyard for unidentified people. —Correspondent
