KARACHI, Dec 26: The first PIA Haj flight carrying 433 Hajis arrived at the Haj terminal on Wednesday. PIA officials and ground staff welcomed the Hajis with garlands.

The PIA post-Haj operation will bring back a total of 121,447 Hajis from Saudi Arabia through 364 flights.

PIA had made special arrangements for the provision of free transportation from Haji camps to the airport, complimentary Haj books, besides Ahrams and Abayas to the pilgrims.

The post-Haj operation will conclude on Jan 24, 2008.

Meanwhile, an 86-member PAF Haj contingent also returned from Jeddah onboard a C-130 aircraft, according to a PAF press release issued on Wednesday.

It said that the Hajis were received at the PAF Base Faisal by Air Marshal Mirza Zafar Hussain, Air Officer Commanding, Southern Air Command.

The contingent included officers, JCOs, airmen and civilian employees of the PAF.—APP
