KARACHI, Dec 26: Nine ships carrying chemicals, and to load cement, molasses and ethanol are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where over a dozen ships, including Soon Fu, to unload and load containers, Team Al-Emirates, to load cement, Bao Ying to unload and load general cargo and Gloriana to offload and load general cargo were berthed after the departure of 10.

The vessels, which departed included Conti Germany, Harmony, Mol Ability, Pu He, Hanjin Ningbo,Vick Wing, Chemstar Brave, Elka Vasilliki and Navios Primavera departed, while Soon Fu, APL Amman, Red Sea Spirit and Hyundai Advance are due to sail out on Thursday.

A total tonnage of 0.196m tons, comprising 50,681 tons of export cargo, including 13,121 tons of cement and 0.145m tons of import tonnage, was handled.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Bengal Orchid, with chemicals, Swat with crude oil, Merlin Explorer to load 35,000 tons of molasses, Mrc Coral to load ethanol, Calvin P.Titus, Gulf Bridge Global Pride and Tenth Ocean, with containers and Sea Princess, to load 18,500 tons of cement.
