By Our Staff Correspondent

QUETTA, Dec 23: Two pylons of a high-power transmission line were blown up near Dera Murad Jamali area of the Nasirabad district on Saturday night.

Informed sources said the blast destroyed the pylons and knocked out power supply to a vast area of the district.

Wapda sources told Dawn that restoration of power supply would take at least one week.

On Friday, a gas pipeline was blown up near Dera Bugti, disrupting gas supply to the area.

According to police, engineers of the Pakistan Petroleum Ltd and other companies repaired the damaged pipeline and restored gas supply to Dera Bugti area within 24 hours.
