HYDERABAD, Dec 20: Many a councillor and nazim of union council 16, Ms Sajida Baloch, announced their support to the PPP candidates from NA-219 Mr Ali Mohammad Sehto and PS-49 Abdul Jabbar Khan.

At a news conference at the press club here on Thursday, Ms Sajida Baloch, Ms Abida Parveen, Farzana Naz, Nawab Brohi, Ghulam Mustafa Brohi and others claimed that hundreds of their supporters will also vote for the PPP candidates.

The district president of PPP and former MPA Zahid Ali Bhurgari, who is again contesting from PS-47 Qasimabad, said that PPP enjoyed mass support and was in a position to eliminate lawlessness, unemployment and price hike from the country.

He said PPP had deep roots in all the federating units and it would not only form the government at the centre but also at the provinces.

He said that it was due to the popularity of PPP that a candidate of his constituency Jam Shoro retired in his favour and joined PPP along with other two influentials of Qasimabad, Mehboob Abro and Maula Bux Mashori. Answering a question, Ms Sajida Baloch said that she was not elected nazim on MQM’s ticket but was supported by the MQM in the election.
