LAHORE, Dec. 19: Traders of mega business centres of the city have agreed to shut their business at 8pm following shortage of electricity in the country.

Office-bearers of the Anjuman Tajran Qaumi Ittehad (ATQI) and representatives of business centres, including Anarkali, Hall Road and The Mall, called on Lesco Chief Akram Arain here on Wednesday.

Talking to the delegation, Mr Arain urged the business community to reduce their power usage by 50 per cent as generation was low now-a-days due to water scarcity in rivers.

He requested the traders to avoid decorative lights and use energy savers in their business centres to ensure smooth functioning of the power system.
