Fog disrupts traffic

By Zulqernain Tahir

LAHORE, Dec 19: Thick fog blanketed plains of Punjab on Wednesday, disrupting air, rail and road traffic massively.

The fog reduced the visibility level in Lahore on Wednesday morning to 30 metres, which was lowest among other districts of the province. The westerly cold wave that has been persisting here for the last several days lowered the temperature further down to minimum zero Celsius and maximum 17 Celsius. The westerly wave will continue for another four days according to the Meteorologist Department. However, the department’s forecast for Thursday says weather will be cold and dry and there will be mist in the morning in most Punjab districts.
