MIRPURKHAS: Job seekers stage protest

MIRPURKHAS, Dec 19: A large number of youths, who had passed written test for the post of primary school teachers in Umerkot, staged a demonstration on Wednesday in protest against the department’s failure to issue them appointment orders.

The protesters, led by Khalid Hussain Mangrio, Nasir Karim Rind, Dileep Kumar and Mohammad Ali Mahar, called upon the department to issue posting orders to successful candidates to end unrest among the jobless youth.

They warned they would enlarge their protest if their demands were not met.

Former president of Umerkot chapter of Primary Teachers Association, Abdul Haq Unnar, social activist Abdullah Khoso, and Ishaque Saand of Sami Sujag Sangat expressed solidarity with the protesters.—BoC
