KARACHI, Dec 18: Eight ships carrying chemicals, crude oil and to load molasses are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where five ships, Augusta, Cosco Lian Yun Gang to unload and load containers, Nordana Rebeeca to offload DAP fertiliser, Lalazar and Myring to unload crude oil.

Seven ships, Mol Admiration, Wan-Hai 311, Itha Bhum, Orient Stride, Valaint, Chemway Lara and Ariella departed on Tuesday, while NCC Asir, Conti Harmony, Golden Arrow, Cosco Lian Yun Gang, Lalazar, Spica and Myrina are due to sail out on Wednesday.

A total tonnage of 0.139m tons comprising 54,707 tons of export cargo including 20,400 tons of clinkers and 83,732 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Holmen, Ievoli Splendor with chemicals, Johar with crude oil, Global Union to load molasses, PAC Antlia, Kapitan Byankin and St. Irene with containers and Bohai Challenge with general cargo.
