ISLAMABAD, Dec 18: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited on Tuesday signed contracts with three local companies for recovering over Rs6.5bn in bad debts from the defaulters.

PTCL General Manager International Revenue Amir Hussain and representatives of these companies signed the agreement on behalf their respective organisations.

According to a PTCL statement these companies would be responsible for recovering the amount which was defaulted from July 2001 to June 2006.

PTCL also urged public at large and defaulters in particular to clear their liabilities as early as possible through these companies to avoid legal action.

ICIL Karachi was given North Zone (NWFP and Islamabad/Rawalpindi), KAP Associates Lahore was allocated Central Zone (Punjab) and Saa Digital Islamabad was allocated South Zone (Sindh including Karachi).
