Football camp ends tomorrow

LAHORE, Dec 17: A week-long national football women training camp under the supervision of a German coach Monika Staab will conclude at the Punjab Stadium on Wednesday.

Twenty-four players are attending the camp in an attempt to build up a strong national women team to take part in coming international friendly’s fixtures. Monika by herself picked the 25 players as selector from the last national championship, which was played at Islamabad’s Jinnah Stadium last August.

Players:

Karachi’s Diya Club (6) : Faryal Shah, Mariam Laghari, Sara Barkat Ullah, Misha Ghaffar, Humaira Nazir, Hina Javed.

Lahore’s SS Club (5) : Shakeela Rehman, Ishrat Fatima, Naima Mukhtar, Ayesha Ikram, Samia Ehsan.

Balochistan (4) Rifat Mehdi, Shahida, Sohaila Irfan, Shahlyla Irfan.

Punjab (3) : Sobia Yunus, Rafia Perveen, Asma Kiran.

WAPDA (2) : Kirin Ilyas, Khadija Anjum.

Islamabad (1): Mejzghan Orakzai.

Sindh Reds (1): Naila Rani.

Mardan FC (1) : Asma Tehseen

Islamabad’s Rising Star Club (1) : Sahar Zaman.
