Published December 18, 2007

RAWALPINDI, Dec 17: Lawyers here on Monday held protest rally at Katcheri Chowk and blocked the busy intersection for half an hour. Lawyers started their protest rally from District Bar Association (DBA) hall and marched through the court premises. They soon made their way out of the courts through the gate that was not used frequently and converged at Katcheri Chowk and chanted anti-establishment slogans.

They demanded immediate release of their detained leaders and judges of superior courts. The protesters also raised voice for the return of removed judges.—A Reporter
