PESHAWAR, Dec 14: The Bank of Khyber (BoK) will set up a facilitation centre at the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) to give first-hand information about various lending facilities to businessmen, and an MoU will be signed next month.

It was decided in a meeting of the BoK’s acting managing director Qazi Muneerul Haq, with newly-elected president of SCCI Haji Mohammad Asif, here on Friday.

Qazi Muneer stated that the BoK would approach the provincial government for loans to businessmen on subsidised rates. He said the BoK’s 70 lendings in the NWFP are against its whole deposits.

Meanwhile, Ghulam Sarwar Mohmand, Chairman, Research and Development Cell of SCCI, will sign an agreement with M/s Deloitte, Islamabad, on Saturday for conducting four research studies on trade with Afghanistan and Central Asian Republics. — Bureau Report
